Introducing in 2024…
Krafting Konnections
What is this group about?
It’s all in the name…
Yes, we’re offering a place and time for crafters to come together, much like quilting bees (which by the way, are still in existence. My mother’s group has existed for over 120 years). Members are welcome to work on their crafts for their personal use, or to contribute to help those in need in our community.
For those who don’t sew, crochet or knit, we offer an easy project – fleece blanket tying. These blankets are deeply appreciated by those who receive them: hospice and chemo patients, veterans, Ukrainian families settling in our area, assisted living residents, and to Pediatric Intensive Care Nurses. They use them to cover the isolettes of preemie and very ill babies to create a more womb-like environment.
The other equally important aspect of our group is to bring people together. Many studies are being conducted which prove “social connectedness can lead to longer life, better health, and improved well-being.”
(CDC.gov –“How Does Social Connectedness Affect Health?”)
Krafting Konnections is launched with our sincere intentions to improve our lives, stay purposeful, and benefit others.
